Eugene Huffman is a Los Angeles-based, out HIV Positive artist, who uses color psychology alongside mythological tales to represent struggle and survival. Many pieces are a showcase of Huffman’s underbelly, allowing these vulnerable conversations to be had with other queer folk and aiding in the community’s path to healing.
His work uses symbols of self-repair and growth by replicating the Japanese art of kintsugi on canvas. Allowing his history of living through abuse and trauma be a part of him, assuring the growth from these strengthen him rather than break him.
