The looking issue (4) submissions are now open. Submissions close Sunday, December 5, 2021. Issue release scheduled for Monday, December 20, 2021. The looking issue (4) seeks works on the theme of Queer dating and Queer scenes, specifically works that reflect on acceptance and relationship building, whether it be with others, place, or the sense of self. All media will be considered. Video & Audio selections will be linked on both the PDF and web publications of magazine. Submission Requirements All submissions must be the sole creative property of the applicant or applicant group and must be original in content. All textual submissions (essays, articles, stories in fiction and non-fiction, poetry, and video and audio works) must be previously unpublished. Text should be clear and publication ready. Fine art collections must be previously unpublished. Consideration will be made for previously published individual works. Images should be high quality and ready for print production. Releases must be provided (if selected) for all subjects in published materials. All pitch submissions must be submitted as PDF files (12 page and 10 MB maximum file size).

Use Rights *

Use Rights If selected for publication in Queer Quarterly Magazine, I agree that publication rights, including use across web, social media, and press are granted to 'K Ryan Henisey' and its subsidiaries, including but not limited to 'Queer Quarterly Magazine' and 'Artlounge Collective,' in perpetuity. As the artist, I will retain all rights to my work for subsequent publication and promotion.

Pitch Submission *

Submit Your Pitch Please submit your pitch via email as a single PDF. If accepted, for consideration, our editorial team will reach out with further instruction. No other file types will be accepted or reviewed. Photo, Fine Art, Video, and Audio submissions must be embedded into the PDF file for consideration. PDFs should be no larger than 12 pages and 10 Megabytes maximum. Due to the volume of submissions, only content selected for publication will receive a response from the Queer Quarterly team. If you do not hear from us by the close of submissions, we encourage you to apply again for our future issues. Submissions may be considered for social media if not selected for magazine publication. WHAT IS A PITCH? Your "pitch" or idea for a feature in the magazine should include any written and visual material you would like us to consider. Please package all of your materials into a single PDF. You do not need to worry about layout and design. As little as one image or short poem may be included in a pitch. Stories, articles, and essays should be completed for full consideration. Photo essays or collections of art should also be packaged into a single PDF document for review.
