Ronald Reekers

Huntington Beach

Despite having retired from a career in aerospace engineering and achieving Black Belts in seven different Martial Art disciplines, Ronald Reeker’s artistic pursuits have always been an integral part of his identity. He holds two BAs, one in drawing and painting and the other in printmaking from CSULB, which have only fueled his passion for artistic expression. Every piece he creates is anchored in strong themes and subjects, using the object itself as a conduit to convey the message that he wants to communicate. While non-objective work certainly has its place, his soul finds fulfillment in depicting scenes, objects, and images, and then manipulating them to suit his emotional needs and desires. For him, the key to a successful print lies in the connection between the subject matter and his own personal feelings and attitudes towards that subject. Each piece represents a unique expression of his deepest emotions and passions, and he is always striving to push the boundaries of his own creativity and self-expression.

“As an artist, my work is a tangible representation of my innermost thoughts and ideas. I am constantly driven by a sense of curiosity about the world around me, and I derive immense joy from capturing and portraying the things I learn in an authentic and genuine manner.”
