Laurence Hanes takes inspiration from her travels around the world, as well as her memories of colors, atmosphere and culture from her childhood in Africa. Born in France in a family with a long tradition of artist painters and photographers established in Brittany, Laurence grew up in West Africa where she was deeply influenced by its vibrant colors, music and unique expression of art. Back in France, she worked as a healthcare professional and dedicated most of her life to helping patients. Her professional journey brought her to the US where she currently lives with her family. Following an irrepressible surge for creativity, Laurence started painting a few years ago, finally reconnecting with her artistic legacy.
